USCIS will then send you:<\/span><\/p><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A confirmation receipt notice of the petition,<\/span><\/p><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A notice of a biometrics appointment date,<\/span><\/p><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">An interview appointment date may be scheduled, and <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">a written notice or decision.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Usually, when the USCIS approves the petition, the agency sends it to the U.S. Department of State&#8217;s National Visa Center (NVC). When a visa is available, the NVC notifies you and your <\/span>relative about the invitation to apply for an immigrant visa. The invitation extends to qualifying dependents as well.<\/p><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When the time comes for the relative to immigrate to the United States, the petitioner must agree to be his\/her financial sponsor by filing. The Form I-864, Affidavit of Support must be file when the time comes for your relative to immigrate. The form states the sponsor&#8217;s commitment to the financial support for the intended immigrating
